Second Annual Quran Competition of Louisville

 

  • The Quran competition goal is to encourage our Muslims children to learn and memorize Quran using proper rules of Tajweed and to make the speech of Allah (SWT) near and dear to their heart.

 

  • Participants are divided into groups based on ages.

 

  • Age will be determined as of the first day of the competition: June 18th 2016.

 

  • Competition will, in shaa Allah, take place immediately after Duhr prayer (2:00 pm) at the Masjid listed in the table below.  

 

  • Each participant will recite the appointed Ayats from the Surah of his/her group.  Each participant will have a limit of three minutes to recite the chosen Ayats.

 

  • Grading by the judge will be based on the memorization, the Tajweed and the Makharij.

 

  • Group C gilrs will use a Judging panel of sisters only and will be open to an audience of sisters only.

 

  • Winners of each group will receive their trophies and prizes on July 2nd after Duhr prayer at the MCCofL (Westport Masjid).

 

  • Registration deadline is June17th.
